Starting my career in owner operated businesses, my passion over the last 20 years has been working with entrepreneurs; I have gained significant experience as a leader and business operator in a range of positions in start up companies; COO/CFO/CEO/HRD and board member.
My last full-time role was at Pact Coffee, the largest D2C speciality coffee subscription business in the UK, prior to Pact I was part of the founding team at Mind Candy turning it from what was a small start-up based in Battersea to the 250 person company that developed the global kids phenomenon Moshi Monsters taking it from scratch to over 100m registered users. Moshi generated sales of over $100m digitally and $1bn at retail globally over a period of 5 years.
I hold a number of qualifications as a Chartered Management Accountant, Assoc CIPD, ICSA ACIS (in training), an Advanced Diploma in Coach-Mentoring (EMCC) and a certificate in systemic team coaching. I am currently Managing Partner and a Senior Coach at Daijo, a board level start up advisor, angel investor and Founder of the London COO Roundtable, a group of 300+ C-level execs active in the London digital start-up scene.
Toby Moore
Since the early 00’s I’ve been a leader in early stage startup and scaleup roles, most notably as Co-Founder and CTO at Space Ape Games (acquired by Supercell at a $90m valuation), and as Mind Candy’s CTO for 6 years where I helped build the Moshi Monsters entertainment juggernaut from zero to a $250m+ valuation.
After Space Ape I spent two years as a Venture Partner at Entrepreneur First where I mentored deep-tech startup founders whilst training to coach professionally at a Masters/PCC level with the Academy of Executive Coaching.
Alongside angel investing, I’m now a Founding Partner and Senior Coach at Daijo, a private coaching practice employing bespoke coaching models designed for high-growth founders and startup execs. I hold a number of board-level advisory positions and actively support my growing portfolio along with spending as much time as possible with my wife and three young daughters.
